My Favorite DIY Projects of the Week

Vacation is over my friends! I am back from a fabulously sunny time in Puerto Rico, and I am doing everything in my power to crush my super long to-do list this Monday, so that I can give one of these DIY ideas a try!

Ideally, I love the thought of spending all my waking hours making something amazing. BUT, I also like wearing clean clothes and having a fairy decent homestead. Ha! Thankfully, when I spotted these DIY projects, I bookmarked them instantly because not only do they seem super creative and fun, but they are also easy to put together. Bonus: I think it will make the kids happy too! ;)

** FOR THAT BLANK WALL STARING YOU IN THE FACE

This idea from elleostudio in Berkley, CA, to make several small pictures and then combine them into one seems utterly creative and breathtaking!

** FOR THAT CHILD OF YOURS WHO JUST WANTS TO BE A MOTH

If you don’t know MerMag, you should! It instantly takes me to my happy place. These moth wings are from a while back but I love how impactful and beautiful they look.

** FOR THAT DAY WHEN YOU CONFUSE DELICIOUS CREPES FOR CREPE PAPER

It might seem like a loss at first to not have any crepes in your belly, but then you will touch that slightly wrinkly paper and realize that what you really needed was a texture, color, and creativity fix instead! This Polish Chandelier from OH HAPPY DAY is one of my all time favorite craps. Also, if you try to substitute straws like me, you might be disappointed (like me)!

** FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING “HOW THE HECK DOES SHE HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO DO ANY OF THESE CRAFTS”

If the Polish Chandelier wasn’t crazy enough, I bring you this amazing Tube Chandelier by The House that Lars Built. Basically, I really want you to have a DIY chandelier experience under your belt! ;) And when you are in the thick of it, try to remember that time when you were a kid and your parents said no you can’t and you secretly mumbled, oh but I will as soon as I am an adult ? Well, this is your moment. You are an adult. Make choices that make you happy. A little creativity can only lead to happiness.
