Hello Namaste @ Moore Square Raleigh + Freebies
After spending the last few months working with the Raleigh Parks and Recs and the Moore Square team in downtown, I am so excited to announce that the Cultural Pop-up for this First Friday in October (10/4) is all about India! There’s not only Indian dance, music, and food - duh! - but also a whole slew of crafts and activities designed by yours truly! = )
Namely, you can make your very own toran garlands, diya trays inspired by the festival of Diwali, and chalk rangolee. There will also be two story-times (6:30pm and 7:30pm) hosted by me with the beloved Hello Namaste! books. I’d love for you to come by and say hello. The event is free and you can find more details here.
The Hello Namaste! Books will be on sale at the pop-up should you be interested in starting on your Diwali and Christmas shopping. And for the first time, I have free swag ya’ll! Each set of books (Animals, Colors, Numbers, and Foods) will be packed in a lovely handmade tote, with a mini toran-kit and a dry-erase marker (because the books are made for doodling and tracing too; not just reading)!
I really hope that you will spend your Friday evening with me in the beautiful Moore Square. See you soon!
